Silica based packing materials
YMC*GEL/YMC*GEL HG

YMC*GEL for preparative HPLC has various available functional groups, such as reversed-phase and normal-phase, and also various particle sizes from 3 µm with high-resolution to 150 µm for open column chromatography. YMC*GEL is able to work for a long period of time without particle breakage, as it uses high-density and high-strength silica gel. YMC*GEL/YMC*GEL HG packing materials are widely used both domestically and internationally.

POINTS
  • Packing materials with various functional groups and particle sizes are available
  • High density and high mechanical strength silica gel (YMC*GEL HG)
  • Suited for large-scale purification by using dynamic axial compression column
  • Packing material for open column chromatography is available
Features

Excellent mechanical stability (YMC*GEL HG)

The high mechanical stability of YMC*GEL HG is demonstrated by means of repeated measurements with a dynamic axial compression column (DAC). Even after more than 10 repacking cycles with the same material, the pressure does not increase. The absence of fines is proven by a constant backpressure.

Packing conditions
Column size 100 X 50 mmI.D.
Packing pressure 6.5 MPa
Test conditions
Eluent methanol/water(85/15)
Flow rate 50 mL/min

Suitable for separation of peptides

YMC*GEL/YMC*GEL HG are available with various functional groups and also with wide pores. Therefore, this material is suitable for the preparation of peptides, such as insulin and proteins. YMC*GEL HG can make scaling up from analytical scale to preparative scale easy, as it has the same performance as that of YMC-Pack.
