The choice of columns for analysis of difficult compounds by HPLC YMC-Pack Pro C18 columns start with a tightly controlled, highly purified silica gel, followed by a high-coverage C18 bonding and finish with a unique endcapping procedure utilizing Lewis acid-Lewis base chemistry. 2 μm particle size columns YMC-UltraHT series are specifically designed for high-speed and high throughput analysis.
Together, these provide unequaled separations with sharp and symmetrical peaks for all types of organic molecules, especially basic pharmaceuticals and chelating compounds.

YMC-Pack Pro C18 is manufactured with a unique endcapping procedure and provides excellent peak symmetry for Basic peptides and equal separation performance for neutral peptides compared with ODS-A.
batch-to-batch Reproducibility of the above three lots
Excellent reproducibility for separation of hydrophobic, hydrophilic, basic, and acidic compounds.
column-to-column
YMC controls packing condition under stringent quality control criteria. That is because YMC provides columns of high theoretical plate number and consistently reproducible quality.
Batch certificates show basic properties of raw material silica gel such as particle size, pore size and metal content.
Carbon load after bonding and results of a separation with standard test mixture are shown.
Columns inspection reports that show column quality such as theoretical plate number and asymmetry factor are also shown. All analysis conditions including the sample concentration are shown so the analyst may periodically use the same conditions to evaluate column degradation.
Attached batch certificates and column inspection reports prove batch-to-batch and column-to- column reproducibility.
2 μm perticle size columns included in Pro C18 can be used for ultra fast analysis with conventional LC, as its pressure is lower than commercial sub-2 μm columns. Considering the extra column band broadening, the column of 3.0 mmI.D. is more applicable for conventional LC systems than the column of 2.0 mmI.D..
