Preparative irregular packing materials

Irregular packing materials for preparative isolation come in a wide variety of particle sizes and are applicable to a wide range of isolations from semi-preparative isolation to industrial preparation.
YMC Co.,Ltd.'s irregular packing materials for preparative isolation have excellent cost performance, and are applicable not only to open column chromatography but also to pretreatment of samples(partial purification and batch treatment for concentration). Among them, silica gel with a particle size of 63 - 210 µm is especially suitable for open column chromatography. Physical properties of a irregular silica gel are described below.

Water content is an important factor in determining the activity of silica gel. Greater water content results in lower activity and retention. The water content of YMC Co., Ltd's Irregular silica gel is generally controlled to be 2% or less; however, products with water content of 5% and 2% or less are both available for SIL-60-230/70(60Å, 63-210µm) and SIL-60-400/230(60Å,40-63µm). Silica gel with water content of 5% is useful for samples having too strong retention on silica gel with water content of 2% or less.
